1. Get rid of standing water that can serve as prime breeding grounds for mosquitos
2. Clean up tree prunings or fallen fruit that attract a wide range of insects
3. Pick up pet droppings in the lawn and yard
4. Make sure kitchen countertops, floors and other surfaces are wiped down and are free of food that might attract ants and cockroaches
5. Be sure to plug holes and cracks to the outside from interior walls, floors and ceilings
